The historic trajectory of state socialism – from an economic angle – is compared with the development of centre countries especially with the US. The author concludes, that the "debate" of the opposed systems ended with the victory of the market-capitalist economy, because countries that still oriented towards socialism are either small and have no say in the global development or – as China or Vietnam – heading towards a transition into a market economy but mai
