"Hungarian historiography … could have gained a lot if one of the main-stream historian, Gábor Gyáni would take up his function as an ideologist and would have reacted to the criticism seriously," writes the author in his response and adds that "… also Gábor Gyáni should accept that he is not exempted from being criticised, and also should recognise the fact that the neo-Marxist current exists, furthermore, it is time for him, to realise that this intellectual-theoretical current is getting established also in Hungary, similarly to many other countries in the word."
