The Nato war against Yugoslavia

The Left Alternative Association (BAL) organized a forum during the bombing campaign of NATO against Yugoslavia in Spring 1999. Some well-known personalities of Hungarian public life, like sociologist Erzsebet Szalai, historians Ivan Harsanyi, Tibor Hajdu and Tamas Krausz, political economist Nicholas Bardos-Feltoronyi, literary historian Daniel Jakocs, film criticist Ivan Forgoes, and an unnamed Kurdish participant presented their views on the tragic events.




The relevance of the ‘third way’

The editors proposed a question to leading Hungarian social scientists: "Was the programme of a Third Way meaningful in the time of the system change and does such an initiative has any relevance in the time of the turn of the century". Author Pal Szalai, sociologists Zsuzsa Ferge and Pal Tamas, political scientist Peter Szigeti and economist Istvan Siklaky answered.
