The Hungarian conquest

The book of the famous French historian (in Defence History) was published in Hungarian but the chapter on the Hungarian conquest and our first king Stephen I. were omitted by the editor Domokos Kosáry in 1974. It is nevertheless useful to see how Western historians view the early Hungarians.

The New York drama and the Hungarian press

The center-left Hungarian daily and weekly papers responded to the anti-American terrorist attacks from a variety of angles – ethnic imperialism, liberal fundamentalism, great power realism, postmodenism, liberal multilateralism and social-democratic structuralism. The impact of these ideologies on leader articles and commentaries is assessed.
