Laszlo Eorsi's book Ferencvaros, 1956 that was published recently outlines and analyses the events of 1956 Autumn in the 9th district of Budapest, a neighbourhood that has always been an arena of heavy political struggles.

The author responds to the lexikon article of our last issue. He discusse;. the basic concepts of pension theory and those related to the practice of pension systems. Having read his tract, the reader remains without doubts about the beneficiaries of the contemporary pension reforms ol Hungary.

During the early period of the systemic change, workers' ownership was seen as the right solution to the crisis of state ownership. Subsequently, employee share programs emerged as the only feasible form of workers' ownership, and, despite the surviving optimism of some, they hardly fulfilled the hopes that had been entertained before.
