Discussing the background of ethnic conflicts that is to be found in uneven cultural development, the author analyses Romania's economic path and possibilities. He discusses the economic causes of the Roumanian-Hungarian conflicts and thinks that Transylvanian Hungarians could play a key role in the rise of Romania.

The domestic public consciousness can be characterised with such measure of idealisation of capitalism, which can hardly be found even in the conservative circles of the Anglo-Saxon world. The goal of the article is to outline a system of self-government on the basis of experiences of self-governing companies in the West which through the synthesis of a capitalist system and state socialism would open up an age of „adult mankind". According to the author in this self-governing society only „aggressive rivalry" would cease to exist but the market economy based on goods and monetary relations would remain and wage labour – even if it would have a smaller significance – would stay just like collective and private (family) property as well as state property and excessive reproduction controlled by the state where it would be the duty of the state to correct the most anti-human consequences of the market competition.
