The continuous civil war lasting since 1983 in the southern part of Sudan is originally the fault of British colonialists, but the Chinese-Canadian-Malaysian consortium which has an interest in the exploitation and sale of the oil of southern Sudan and the European Union by supporting the Islamic regime in Khartoum, also have a responsibility in the maintaining of the crisis which has turned into genocide.

The article interprets Chinese communism as a specific form of revolutionary, modernising nationalism. Its model is the industrialised, capitalist, anti-capitalist – "socialist" West, whom it attacks and imitates at the same time. The state-socialism of Mao was not only dictatorial and antidemocratic, but from the beginning it deliberately and systematically depoliticised civic life and divided society, especially the working classes. Today's China can be characterized on the one hand by social dynamism; on the other hand by extreme inequality and political impotence.

The study gives a historical outline of the Chechen-Russian war. This war – in contrast to public opinion and mainstream literature – has been fought for economic, political-territorial and social purposes, and as regards its origin, it is the result of the postsocialist transition. Raw materials – especially oil – and the control of the trading routes have caused great excitement for the different groups of oligarchs in Chechnya up to now, while people may think that they are experiencing an ethnic war.

The attack of Nazi Germany against the Soviet Union is interpreted, both in Russia and in Hungary, along the lines of Goebbels's propaganda, by several historians as a preventive war. The article presents the misinterpretations, disprovals and misapprehensions of historians citing recently uncovered documents. The fate of the plan of Marshall Zhukov mentioned in the title also demonstrates the state of the historian's profession dealing with the World War II.
