The ideological speciality of teh neoconservative movement, which has extensive influenece in the most venal circles of the American intelligentsia is the amalgamation of unconditional devotion to the market and xenophobic and religious bigotry. The article presents the political and intellectual image, roots and evolution of neoconservatism. It paints a dark picture of the mental, moral and political decline, which is encapsulated by the "mafia" (to use the author's term) behind President Bush.

Fiofteen years have passed. From the point of view of the majority of society we could say fifteen years of destruction have passed. We destroyed what we have built, in this way of that in 40 years. This was teh fate of almost the whole of the Hungarian industry and agriculture. Social policy has been totally subordinated to economic policy.
