Historian Gyorgy Foldes, head of the Institute of Political History, published his analysis shortly after the Socialist Party lost the 1998 parliamentary elections. Theses on moderniosation, human capital and socialism
The essay follows Schumpeter's prediction, in which the Austian economist claimed that the changes of the 20th century would lead to something completely different from capitalism, and we could even call that socialism. These changes are related to human capacities and needs.
Do not forget the wetched of the earth!
With publishing one of his last essays, we remember the late advisor of Eszmelet, Imre Marton. He analysed the correlation between anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist struggles, and he drew lessons for post-communist countries, and for the whole humanity.
