Interview with J. Pinior

The interview published here was granted by J. Pinior, one of the leaders of the organisation called „Polish Socialist Party – For a Democratic Revolution" which cooperates with Solidarity about their programme which – in contrast of reform policies initiated from above -places the emphasis on the direct role of the masses of people, their democratic power, e. g. the role on the strike committees.

“Well, whose revolution?” – Romania 1990

The author writes about the power struggle in the post-Ceausescu Romania, taking the actors of the political fighting one after the other, from the Iliescu group planning the coup against Ceausescu through the Romanian orthodox church to the army which is in key position. The article ends with guessing the chances of the Romanian political scene.
