The author summarises and analyses historical lessons from the 1956 workers councils. He shows that present-day falsifications and silence about the history of workers councils is related to the fact that the councils set up in factories and on the shop-floor aimed transforming state ownership to social ownership also rejecting the restoration of capitalism and fought against attempts bringing back private ownership.

The country and the villages “after agriculture”
After the change of regime, the political elite started a new division of land by ignoring any domestic and international trend. The surpassed alternative of the "Hungarian farmer" promised and promises no prospects for the country and the villages. Unfortunately, it is not the inventors who have to pay for this Don Quijotic idea.
