All of our actions characterises not only us but also the role we play in the social system we are living in. Our private actions – whether wanted or unwanted – also fulfil a social function regardless that we are aware of it or not or we intended it or not. The article analyses the attempts to undertake or suspend different social roles.

The military actions of Cuba in Africa between 1961 and 1988 or the internationalist help of Cuba to national liberation movements from Algeria though Congo, Angola and Mozambique are not counted as the most advertised events in the 20th century.
